Artist statement
Painting in oil gives me the opportunity to stop time and space, to pause and go within. My inspiration and motivation is the pursuit of authenticity, both in my art and in my life. There is no better feeling than capturing the sensitive moment of an animals presence or the fleeting landscapes which become different colours from one moment to the next. Inspired by the ever changing light, colours and the wonder of life I have discovered a boundless freedom of expression within oil painting and drawing.
