Profile

 Sian Crichton was born and raised in a small village at the foot of the hills, just outside Edinburgh in Scotland. In 1996, holding a Bachelor of Arts degree in film and photography,  Sian's sense of adventure led her to emigrate to Canada. She arrived in Alberta and worked for a film and television production company.
After a few years she left the film business to raise her family and became a freelance portrait and landscape photographer. This led her to begin experimenting with different mediums.  When she touched her first paint brush to canvas she realized there was no turning back.  
In 2007 Sian moved to Ontario, where she continues to paint to re-create the poetry within the land, people and animals that she has been inspired by.
